About Me
About Me
I am a self-employed graduate of the Dayton School of Medical Massage and practice at Healing Hands Therapeutic Massage Center in Beavercreek, Ohio. My purpose as a licensed massage therapist is to develop trustful relationships that produce tangible health benefits for my clients. I welcome freelance work that enables me to be the therapist of choice for persons seeking massage that is responsive to their needs, capably performed, expertly informed, medically appropriate, friendly, caring, and delivered in a safe and holistically healthy context.
I am a massage therapist licensed in 2016 by the State Medical Board of Ohio for the limited practice of medicine. My technical skills as a massage therapist have been honed through professional practice, rigorous coursework, and over 3000 clinical and professional massages for a wide range of clients. I use Swedish massage techniques and numerous therapeutic interventions, including:
My Massage Skills
percussion
joint movements
trigger-point therapy
sports massage
position release
stretching
myofascial massage, and
cold-stone therapy for migraine headaches.
I also assist clients with access to educational materials relevant to their needs, basic meditation techniques, and stretching modalities within my scope of practice. My massage training is appropriate for both table and chair massage. I also teach virtual massage (self- massage) when appropriate due to quarantine.
Maturity and life experience enable me to be especially responsive to clients with medical needs and persons coming to grips with challenges of aging. I have chosen an “encore” career that enables me to explore new and unexplored dimensions of my humanity in service to others in my community.
